When a member of our team put Imagitime to the test with her son, that was exactly the bar: he grabbed pages, chewed corners, and bailed after two spreads — until he opened a book with his own face in it. Imagitime uses AI to turn photos of your child into custom hardcover storybooks where they're the hero. We made one and put it through real bedtime use.

How it works

The platform walks you through it: upload a few clear photos, pick an adventure (we chose Little Child's Big Steps, built for ages 0–1 around crawling, standing, and walking), and the AI illustrates your child into every scene. Designing it turned into a genuinely fun, sit-down activity.

The quality

It arrived in about two weeks as a real hardcover with professional illustrations — and crucially, the child looked like himself at his current age, not a generic younger or older kid. The likeness tracks the photos you provide, so good source photos matter.

The 2-week production time means you plan ahead for gifts, not last-minute. And each book stars a single child — there's no family/sibling option, which is a real limitation if you have more than one and want them sharing a story.
